Welcome, YAAS readers! I would like to formally introduce myself and tell you about me! My name is Sean Armenta, and I was born and raised in Colorado. I am a 22-year-old as well as a father to a rambunctious 20-month-old son. I am also engaged to an extraordinarily beautiful woman.
My time is mostly consumed chasing my son during his adventures and being a personal snack assistant. Aside from that, I am an avid historical reader, fisherman, whiskey lover, and sports enthusiast. I spent most of my childhood immersed in sports, though I was particularly interested in football. I tried several other sports, but I didn't understand the concept of not hitting anyone.
I have been working since I was 14; my first job was at a nursing home. Between being a foreman for an electrical contractor and a commercial truck driver working with the residents at the nursing home was by far my favorite job. Hearing their stories and experiences was priceless. They saw the world clearly because they had lived through so much. Everything they had fought for is slowly collapsing.
I'm a firm believer in "Hard times make strong men. Strong men make good times. Good times make weak men. Weak men make hard times." That being said, in recent decades, we've experienced relatively good times. I see so many of my peers advocating for something they don't completely understand, which would put us in extremely hard times. Our students are being indoctrinated to believe in socialism, and social media is silencing anyone who opposes Marxism. Our language is being censored, people are being "canceled" for a differing ideology, and sadly people have been attacked for speaking out against socialism.
I look forward to sparking civil conversation about controversial topics and being a voice for the young conservative American.
